One of the benefits of living in Switzerland is that everyone wants to visit: "you're moving to where? We've never really thought about visiting middle Europe, but we'll be there!" Love it!
So, the visiting season officially began last week with our dear friends Greg and Laura, visiting from Vancouver. (Mom came in October, so not our inagural visitors) We met them in Dijon, France for some stunning food, the Bourgone wine region (where burgundy wine comes from, and escargot...mm), and great catching-up time with our old friends. Then, back to our house for a couple days to see Switzerland then they went off on their whirlwind trip of our neighboring countries.
I stole some of Greg and Laura's pictures so you can see our world through their lens.
We had a wonderful time and loved seeing the Dijon region for the first time. Rumor has it they make a mean mustard there.
Hot on the heels of Greg and Laura leaving, some more of our good friends landed from Maine: Brent, Karen, Kirsten and Sawyer! We are looking forward to their visit and making some more wondeful memories with them!
A note to travelers: book your travel in advance, as the L'hôtel Curl is filling fast! Also, be patient with the staff as we turn over the rooms. Tip your waitstaff and room cleaners well. Room service ends at 10pm. Do your own damn laundry.
Bonne journee!
