Chamonix, France

A couple weeks ago we went with some friends to the much-anticipated, many-storied, Chamonix.  My brother Cat and I have talked about riding there for years, and the terrain and views are the stuff of legend.

We weren't disappointed!  It was a fun filled weekend of fresh air and sights.   We rode the gondola up the mountain and lunch with friends and breathtaking views.  Then I went skiing with some friends while Lucia and Sarah saw some more of the sights.  It definitely lived up to the hype:

At our Apres ski (what the French call getting a drink after skiing) Lucia joined in singing Happy Birthday to a woman in the bar, which earned her a slice of cake...which made it all worth it.

Finally, Lucia's new "Swiss-Hop" stage has begun.  Watch out Beyonce.

Apres we,

  1. Hey, we don't have the snow, but our little Italian hills are prettier than any old French mt. So, think about coming farther south.
