Basel on a Whim

We decided hop a train to Basel on Saturday, a 2 1/2 train ride to the border of Germany, to get out of town and play a little this weekend.  We all fell in love with Basel!  What a wonderful city, with amazing architecture and people, and great things to do for the young and old.   We look forward to going back soon and taking in some of the 30+ museums, art houses and studios in the city.  For instance:

History of Pharmaceutical Museum:  Sarah.
History of Sports Museum:  Jaime
Teddy Bears, Dolls and Dollhouse Museum:  Lucia
Funeral Objects Museum:  Well, it does pique the interest, no?

A cool, artsy town for sure.  We saw some of the sights and took in one of the most reputed zoos in Switzerland with the little lady.  There was an entire turtle exhibit!  That was one of the high points of the weekend, to be sure.  We had a great time and it made me secretly wish we ended up in the German section of Switzerland on our move...good beer and sausage...ah....!
